A menudo me preguntan si es posible aprender inglés a partir de determinada edad y, a mí casi me sorprende la pregunta, porque la edad -lo digo por experiencia- no influye mucho en la capacidad de aprender inglés.
Lo que sí influye es la capacidad de aprender en general que tiene un alumno.
Si de joven una persona no ha tenido problemas al estudiar, no los suele tener después. En cambio, si de joven no le gustaba estudiar y le costaba retener información, le costará igualmente de mayor.
He tenido alumnos de 20 años a quienes les costaba mucho aprender inglés, y otros de más de 50 que les costaba igual que al promedio, o incluso menos. Todo depende de ser capaz de captar la información.
